Hospitality Ministry

Receiving and helping others like Christ is vital for our parish community. Hospitality outreach includes making a weekly meal for our priests as well as meals for mothers with newborn babies through email sign-ups. If you would like to help make a meal or know of a young mother who is in need, contact Megan Wurtz at 913-370-0676 or This email address is being protected from spambots. Maximilian Kolbe secular Franciscans

The Secular Franciscan Order, formerly known as the Third Order of St. Francis, is an official Order within the Catholic Church, established by St. Francis of Assisi himself (http://www.franciscan-archive.org/patriarcha/) early in the thirteenth century.

Ordinarily, we do not live in community; rather, we live with our families and perform our jobs out in the world, gathering in fraternities on a regular basis.

Adoration

Funeral Luncheons

"The Funeral Dinner Committee of St Benedict Parish offers a dinner for the family, relatives, and friends of a deceased parishioner.  It is our hope that serving you in the pleasant atmosphere of the church will bring you, your family, and your friends comfort in your time of sorrow and grief.”
