Youth Ministry
Thank you for taking the time to visit our youth ministry page! St. Benedict's youth ministry has many options for our high school students! Here is a list of some of the programs that we have:
Sunday Night Youth Group: This group meets at 7:15 in The Hideout at Maur Hill Mount Academy. We meet after the Life Teen Mass in the school chapel which takes place at 6:00pm. Nights consist of games, talks, music and prayer. Topics include vocations, friendship, prayer, social teaching, etc.
Wednesday Night Mens Group: This group meets at 7:00pm in The St. Hildegard Room underneath St. Benedict's Church. This is a spiritual formation group that begins with praying compline with the monks. After compline, the group does spiritual formation and concludes the evening with games. This group is primarily a spiritual formation group.
Wednesday Night Girls Group: This group meets at 7:30 in The St. Hildegard Room. They play games, pray and share in community. This group is primarily a spiritual formation group.
Servants of St. Gianna: This is a pro life group. This group is 100% student lead. They spiritually adopt children, pray for an end to abortion and do community action.
On top of our regular groups, we have many events throughout the year as well. We attend Steubenville Mid America every summer. We send students to NCYC, RCYC and other Catholic events. We have representatives on the Rural Youth Council for the Archdiocese of KCK. We work extensively with Maur Hill Mount Academy, Benedictine College, the religious communities in our town, and our homeschool community. Any high school student regardless of Faith, high school or family background are welcome to our events!
